Graveside services for Albert Sidney Johnston, 94 of Mexia will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2006 in Mexia Cemetery. Dr. Max Burkhead, pastor of The First United Methodist Church in Mexia will officiate and interment will Follow in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 - 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home. Mr. Johnston was born September 14, 1911 in Lott, Texas and passed away on Friday, January 20, in Manor Nursing Home. He graduated Mexia High school In 1928, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mexia, and a Member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was owner of drive-in Grocery businesses for many years in this area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sidney Johnston, Sr. and Halley Moore Johnston, his wife, Dorothy Johnston and daughter, Jan Johnston Cairns. He is survived by his son, Allen Sidney Johnston of Coolidge, grandchildren, Nancy Cairns Reed, Kent Johnston, Jana Raymond, Lori Knight, Karen Brown and Karmen Wilson , 16 great grandchildren and a sister, Lola Margaret Focke of College Station.
