Funeral services for Alice Frances Alexander, 90, of Mexia will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Rev. Marcus Sheffield and Rev. Wes Willie will officiate with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Alexander was born September 14, 1917 in Bowden, Georgia to Alonza Juhan Alford and Fannie Edell (Barnes) Alford and passed away May 19, 2008 in Mexia. She retired from the Mexia State School Sewing Department. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Odell Alexander; a son, David O. Alexander, Jr.; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughters Patsy Ann Copeland, Sandra Ingram and Freda (Cookie) Gremminger and husband, Tim all of Mexia; ten grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; brothers Jesse B. Alford and wife, Billie Sue of Temple and Joel Max Alford and wife, Joann of Belton; and sister-in-law, Pauline Alford. Pallbearers will be Bryon Copeland, Brian Ingram, Alan Ingram, Carl Young, Mike Lane, Mike Whittington. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephen Young, Spencer Wright, Kody Ingram, Kreig Ingram, Garrett Whittington and Clayton Whittington.
