Memorial services for Mrs. Andrea G. Hitt, 98, longtime resident of Mexia, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 in First Presbyterian Church in Mexia. Rev. Ken Lane will officiate. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Hitt was born August 30, 1909 in Mexia to Alexander Gladstone and Gerda Juanita (Epperson) Betts and passed away at her residence on March 6, 2008. She was past Worthy Matron and secretary of the Mexia Chapter # 57, Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Presbyterian Womens Group, charter member of La Belle Maison Club and a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mexia. . She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman Hitt, three sons, Herman Hitt, Jr., Danny Eugene Hitt and Dick Sturdavant Hitt and a sister, Lurlie Juanita Betts McCall. She is survived by her daughters in law: Dorothy Hitt of Alvin, Sue Hitt of Mexia, Opal Bozeman of Monroe, LA and Juanita Dvorak of Mexia, 12 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alden Garber, Joe Cannon, Dave Fitte, Jim Parks, Dick Flatt and Frank Parker.
