Anita Ann Goswick, 77, passed away, Monday, February 26, 2024, peacefully at her home in Mexia, Texas. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family.
Anita was born in Mexia, Texas on August 4, 1946, to Seth and Jeana Campbell. She attended Mexia High School where she met her husband of fifty-six years, Richard “Dickie” Goswick, Sr.
Anita worked as a medical secretary in a Cardiology practice for a few short years in Dallas, Texas while Dick finished his degree from SMU. The couple moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in the early seventies where they purchased a Massey Ferguson Farm Equipment Dealership in Robstown, Texas. After moving to Corpus Anita did not continue her career but did serve as an officer on The Board of Directors of numerous businesses she and Dick owned throughout her lifetime.
In November of 1973 Dick and Anita had their first child, Kimberly Ann and in August of 1975 their son, Richard Young was born. Anita enjoyed her life as homemaker, the house was always filled with the children’s friends. She was a huge sports fan; it was no surprise to find her decked out in her favorite team jersey sitting in the living room with all the teens watching the game.
Anita enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, some of her favorite adventures included trips to Africa, Norway, Turkey, Rome, Greece, and England, but where she was the happiest was in her home with her family.
Anita was a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, she will be missed greatly by those who loved her most.
Anita is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Goswick, Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Meyer and husband, Patrick of Groesbeck, Texas; son, Richard Goswick Jr. and wife, Candice of Robinson, Texas; grandchildren Mallory and Parker Meyer of Groesbeck, Rowdy Goswick of Robinson; and her brother, Leslie Campbell of Mexia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Jeana Campbell.
The family would like to thank Latrisa Williams for her long-term dedication to Anita’s care and The Accent Care Hospice team: Julie, Charlene, Jamie, Larry, and Dr. David Fedro for the unwavering care they provided.
