Annie Mary Boehme, 87, of Mexia passed away May 17, 2009 in Mexia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mexia. Father Boyer Asesor will officiate with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home, Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Annie was born to John Joseph and Emilie Mary Doskocil Bartek on January 3, 1922 in Bell County, Texas. She married Edwin William Boehme on November 26, 1946. Annie loved to work in her yard and loved gardening. She grew some of the best tomatoes in the Mexia area. She also groomed dogs for over 30 years. Annie took pride and pleasure in her hobbies but caring for her family was her priority, something she loved and did very well. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death her parents; husband; two brothers, Jerry and Arnold Bartek; and sister, Martha Schneider. She is survived by her children Patsy Sunday and husband, Buddy of Mexia, Gerald Boehme and wife, Debbie of Grapevine, Michael Boehme and wife, Nita of Groesbeck and Norma Ogilvie of Grapevine; grandchildren, Laurie Murphey, Michele McGilvray, Christopher Boehme, Jason Boehme, Evan Boehme and Jennifer Ogilvie; great-grandchildren, Hunter Morton, Garret Morton, David Murphey, Mason McGilvray, Kaylee McGilvray, Caden McGilvray and Chesney Boehme; brothers, Johnny Bartek of Temple and Julius Bartek of New York, N.Y.; sisters, Delia Green, Georgia Stermer and Ella Pavliska all of Temple. Pallbearers will be Christopher Boehme, Stephen McGilvray, Robert Murphey, David Baker, Jason Boehme and Lew Stewart.
