Annie Kate Pevehouse, 87, passed away July 24, 2014 at her home in Personville. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. James Rincker officiating. Interment will follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Annie was born September 9, 1926 in Personville, Texas to Lloyd Byron and Lillian Kennedy Easterling Thompson. She married John W. Pevehouse on August 3, 1943 in Mexia, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who devoted her life to caring for her family and serving the Lord. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Mexia. Annie was a hard worker; she loved to garden and canned lots of vegetables for as long as she was physically able. She was known for growing beautiful flowers and being an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for many of her family members, leaving them with a treasure of remembrance. Annie was happiest being with her family and especially loved watching her grandchildren grown up. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Jerry and Marion "Jimmy" Pevehouse; daughter, Mary Sellers; granddaughter, LeeAnn Lankford, great-granddaughter, Meagan LeShay; and three brothers, John, Byron and Billy Joe Thompson. Annie is survived by two sons, John W. Pevehouse and wife, Dorothy of Mexia and L. B. Pevehouse and wife, Martha Sue of AL; two daughters, Mildred L. Beard and Katie M. Beard of Personville; brother, Othello Thompson of Palestine; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Pevehouse, Mike Harris, Bobby Dabney, Chad Lankford, David Dabney and Aubrey Brasher.
