Barnell Tyler

Barnell Tyler, 81, passed away October 10, 2017 in Mexia, Texas. Memorial services will be 1 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Tom Prentiss officiating. Barnell was born June 3, 1936 in Temple, Texas to Oscar and Ruby Tyler. He was admitted to Cen-Tex Group Home on June 12, 1990 from the Mexia State School. Barnell was a very caring person and enjoyed his friends and staff. He served on the Human Rights Committee since 2004. Barnell was a very important part of the committee and expressed his opinions in many areas, which were usually right. After his parents' death, his cousin, Margaret Rucker, served as his guardian until her death in 2016. Ray Rucker continued to be involved in Barnell's life. Barnell will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
