Betty Jo Jones Capers, 77, of Corsicana passed away November 28, 2010 in Corsicana. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. David Snow officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Betty was born September 10, 1933 in Limestone County, Texas to Joe Bailey and Reta Bell (Herring) Jones. Prior to moving to Corsicana, she had lived in Mexia for over 20 years. Betty retired from the Mexia State School after 20 years of service. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. While in Mexia, Betty enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and Parkview Regional Hospital Pink Ladies. She was a member of Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Olivia Victoria Jones. Betty is survived by her loving children, Patricia Brown of Missouri City, Tx., Luther R. Jones, Jr. of San Benito, Tx., Larry J. Jones of San Antonio, Tx., Judy Riley of Corsicana, Tx. and SFC Donald G. Jones of Colorado; grandchildren, Lindy Hamm, Kimberly Sparks, Dillon, Dakota and Dustin Jones, Jeremy Jones, Joshua Jones, Dylan and Megan Ingram, Courtney Long, Ben Riley, Morgan and Taylor Jones, Alexis Jones and Ashley and Hannah Fuller; great-grandchildren, Kaegan Jones, Claire Jones, Colt Hamm and Bentley Sparks; brother, John M. Jones of Shiloh, Tx.; and soul mate, William Bruce Capers of Mexia, Tx. Pallbearers will be Ben Riley, Jeremy Jones, Joshua Jones, Dillon Jones, Mitch Jones and Todd Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Riley and Stephen Brown.
