Betty Erskine

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Erskine, 84 of Mexia will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Blair- Stubbs Chapel. Rev. Mike Patterson will officiate with interment to follow in Big Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Erskine was born October 5, 1922 in Little Elm to Authur Dee and Lessie Enola (Ford) Patterson and passed away on May 23, 2007 in a local nursing home. She was an LVN and retired after working at the Mexia State School for 20 years. She was a longtime resident of Limestone County. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Robert Reed Erskine and Leon McKinney, brother, C. O. Patterson, and two sisters Eula Mae Pippin and Dee Alva McConnell. She is survived by two sons, Rodney D. Erskine of Sugarland and Gary Stovall Erskine of Pasadena, two grandchildren, Robert Michael Erskine and wife, Deanna and Brittany Elise Erskine, and great granddaughter, Lauren Lacey Erskine.
