Betty Fuller

Betty Berniece Fuller, 87, of Corsicana, and formerly of Mexia, went to join her Lord on June 28, 2013. She was born in Tehuacana to W.L. and Ruth Lindsey on February 20, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Jim; her brother Jack; her sisters, Mary, LaRue, and Winnie; and her granddaughter, Beth Cox. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia, a retired LVN for the Mexia State School, a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans, a past member of Eastern Star, a Rebekah, and taught Sunday School to many children and elderly over the years. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Ainsworth Jacobs and husband Jake of Corsicana; her son, Terry Cox, and wife Marilyn of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; brother W.L Lindsey and wife Margaret of Teague; granddaughters, Jennifer Janus and husband Eric of Shepherdstown, West Virginia and Niece Hansen of Corsicana; great-grandsons, Theo Janus and Rowdy, Luke and Cutter Hansen; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and special friend and caregiver, Peggy Gentry. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton in Corsicana, Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia; and graveside services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Mexia Cemetery with Pastor Leslie Byrd officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia.
