Beverlye Jones

Beverlye June Jones of Corsicana TX passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, August 27, 2011 while tending to her beloved yard, trees and plants. She was born on the May 3, 1938 in Coolidge TX to Henry Alonzo and Gertie Mae Armstrong Jones. Her husband & Coolidge High School sweetheart, James (Jim) Doyle Jones, also born in Coolidge TX, preceded her in death and had promised to meet her at the gates of heaven when she got there. She and Jim were active for many years in the Texas Lions Club. She was active at First Baptist Church of Corsicana, where she was a member. She enjoyed and always spoke fondly of her friends from her Sunday School class. She was mother to Sheryl Guardiani (Alexandria VA) & Jayson Jones (Katy, TX), grandmother to Daniel Guardiani (Alexandria VA) and Joseph Jones (Huntsville, TX). There will be a short burial service on Thursday, September 1st at the Coolidge Cemetery Chapel at 10:00 AM. All who knew Beverlye are welcome to attend. To honor her and celebrate her life, there will be a Memorial Service held in the First Baptist Church Corsicana Chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM, followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall.
