Mrs. Billie Jean Williams, 82, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at her residence in Dew. She was born September 11, 1934 in Freestone County to Roy Alden and Eva Mae Parish Smith. Billie worked for many years in the Clayton Supermarket meat department in Houston before retiring and returning to live on her family land, 16 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb with the ability for making plants multiply from just a sprig. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Ruiz; great granddaughter, Ariele Poller; and brothers, Roy L. Smith and James O. Smith. She is survived by her son, Jerry Wayne Williams and wife, Christine of Cypress and daughter, Brenda Joyce Sanger of McKinney; grandchildren, Stephanie Frers and husband, Michael, Eric Sanger and Eddie Poller, Jr., great grandchildren, Michael Dietrich Frers, Shea Frers, Gage Frers, Dallis Gregory and husband, Ransom. Shawn Cory and Michael Shane Cory. Billie is also survived by her sister, Pattie Sue Jordan of Dew.
