Bobbie Ann Bowden

Bobbie Ann Bowden, of Kosse, passed away on January 4, 2023 in Mexia, Texas at the age pf 83.  Bobbie was born January 29, 1939 in Marlin, Texas to Reed Ogden and Maurine (Malone) Devore.  She attended school in Mexia and was a graduate of Mexia High School.

After living in Dallas for many years, Bobbie moved back to Mexia.  She worked for an insurance company prior to accepting a job with TXU, formerly Southwestern Electric Service Company, retiring after several years of service.  

Bobbie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She and her mother, also, shared a very special relationship.  In addition to spending time with family, Bobbie enjoyed fishing, country dancing, watching movies, and spending time with her dog, Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Reed Ogden, mother, Maurine Devore; step-father, Johnny Devore; and children, Lisa Walpole, Ty Walpole and Becky Walpole.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Rayford Bowden; grandchildren, Mandi Stovall and Raina Reeder; and great grandchildren, Cade Stovall and Chace Reeder.     

A private family service will be observed.
