Bobbie Nell Dougan, 88, of Mexia passed away July 2, 2018 at the age of 88. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Pete Howell, Ray Richey and Travis Bundrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Tehuacana Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Bobbie was born May 2, 1930 in Tehuacana, Texas to Clarence Albert and Eutice Zula Palmour Crow. On September 23, 1950, Bobbie married the love of her life, Charles S. Dougan, and they were blessed with over 67 wonderful years together. She was a payroll clerk for Schlumberger Oilfield Services Company in Houston for 23 years. Bobbie loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed family get-to-togethers. She enjoyed many various pleasures in life. She and Charles enjoyed traveling, fishing and eating lunch at the Farm House; being a gentleman and attentive to her needs, he always assisted her by carrying her purse. Bobbie loved cats, watching and feeding birds, sewing, doing crafts and, especially, enjoyed making and giving gifts to others. She also liked watching farmers as they worked and plowed their fields. She collected Precious Moments and enjoyed visiting antique stores. She was preceded in death by her parents. Bobbie is survived by her husband, Charles S. Dougan of Mexia; two sisters, LaVerne Hard of Bonneau, SC and Patricia Howell and husband, Pete of Heber Springs, AR; one niece, Kathryn Condon of Huntsville, TX; and two nephews, Earnie Hard of Quincy, FL and Jeff Hard of Bonneau, SC. Family request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or charity of choice.
