Bobbie Green

Bobbie Jean Green, 82, of Mexia passed away June 19, 2012 in Mexia. Graveside services will be 11AM, Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Visitation with the family will be 9:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Bobbie was born January 4, 1930 in Coolidge, Texas to Cecil and Maggie Thomas McDonald. She graduated from Coolidge High School. She and her husband, Dewey, lived in West Texas and New Mexico due to his job with Halliburton. They moved to Mexia following his retirement. Bobbie loved spending time with her family and was an avid reader. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey Green; and brother, V. T. McDonald. Bobbie is survived by two sons, Ron Green and wife, Judy of Dallas and Roger Green of Mexia; grandchildren, Ryan Green and wife Jenn, Nicole Green and Emily Turner and husband, Shane; great-grandchildren, Chase and Jamie Comer, Trent Green and Garrett Turner; two sisters, Ramona Archer of Marshall and Ruby Shanks of Arlington; and one brother, Jimmy McDonald of Midlothian.
