Graveside services for Mrs. Bobbie Corine Pendleton will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Mexia Cemetery. Rev. Brad Brittain, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Mexia will officiate with interment to follow in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 6 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Pendleton was born October 22, 1917 in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert W. and Susan Keith Scott and passed away in the local hospital on May 14, 2007. She had lived in Mexia since 1937, was a homemaker and for 20 years worked at Mexia State School as head of clothing department. She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church and teacher of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the LaBelle Maison Interior Decorating Club, active in Girl Scouts and a worker in the PTA. She was a wonderful wife and mother and always had a positive attitude. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugh H. Pendleton in 1986, one brother and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Pendleton of Mexia, two sisters, Betty Sue Stephens of Clayton, Oklahoma and Aline Conn of Jackson, Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.
