Funeral services for Charles C. (Chuck) Collingsworth, 82, of Mexia will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. Rev. Ed Spivey, former pastor of First Baptist Church will officiate with full military honors and interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Mr. Collingsworth was born February 24, 1925 in Bristow, Oklahoma to George Newt and Clarabelle Miller Collingsworth and passed away on December 27, 2007 in the Mexia hospital. He served in the Air Force during World War II, retiring from the military in 1966 and then worked as a supervisor in administration at Mexia State School for 22 years. He was a longtime member and deacon in First Baptist Church in Mexia and a member of the Mexia Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Evalyn (Sunny) Collingsworth of Mexia and a brother, L. E.
