Claira Pearl Jackson, 68, of Teague passed away October 15, 2010 at her home in Teague. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Kerens Cemetery in Kerens, Texas with Chaplain Nathan Dunman officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Claira was born May 26, 1942 in Ridgley, Tennessee to David and Irene (Eaves) Carroll. She spent her life raising and caring for her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, reading, working in her flower garden and trips to Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, L. Jackson. Claira is survived by her children, Tammie Jackson Lantis and husband, William of Kerens, David Wayne Jackson and wife, Sheri of Teague, Rita Morgan and husband, David of Angleton, Robert Jackson and wife, Shirley of Teague and Misty Hollingsworth and husband, Tony of Kerens; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Long of Teague and Violet Stell of Willis; and brother, Thomas Carroll of Cold Springs. The family would like to express their special thanks and appreciation to the Providence Hospice Staff and Chaplain, Nathan Dunman for their care and spiritual support.
