Mr. Cleburn Allan Walker, 73, of Teague passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Groesbeck. Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, October 13, 2008 in the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia with the Reverend Sonny Beaver and Reverend Stanley Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Parker Memorial Park in Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Lewis Livingston, Arthur Olivarez, Buddy Lenamon, James Ward, Justin Dyer and Gary Glen Dyer, Jr. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Blair-Stubbs. Mr. Walker was born July 15, 1935 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Homer Allan and Jewell Opal Skaggs Walker. He served his country in the United States National Guard. His career was with the Civil Service at the U.S. Army base in Ft. Bliss, Texas as a temperature control manager in the refrigeration section. After retirement he enjoyed his part-time job as a greeter at Wal-Mart. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice L. Walker and Great Grandson, Brayden James Mayhar. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Louise Walker of Teague, Son, Cleburn Allan Walker, Jr. and wife, Rose of Stephenville, Grandson, Cleburn Allan Walker III and wife April of Stephenville, Great Grandchildren, Delta Dawn Walker and Brooke Mackenzie Walker, Granddaughter, Christal Ann Walker of Stephenville, Great Grandchildren, Kayli Marie Walker, Faith Nicole Mayhar. Daughter, Patricia Walker Mauldin and husband, Jack, Jr. of Groesbeck, Granddaugher, Brandye Mauldin Wilson and husband, R. Scott of Groesbeck, Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn Nicole Wilson, Bradley Scott Wilson, Zachary Scott Wilson, Granddaughter, Annie Mauldin Melasky and husband Jeff of Groesbeck, Great Grandchildren, Madison Ann Melasky and Marshall Bailey Melasky. He is further survived by his Step-sons, Russell Eugene Dyer and Wife Debbie of Sheridan, Arkansas, Gary Glen Dyer and wife Angela of Teague, Step-Grandsons, John Allen McKinney of Teague, Gary Glen Dyer, Jr. of Teague, Justin Lane Dyer of Hubbard, Step-Granddaughters, Marquitta Marie Dyer of Teague and Jodi Ray Crabtree of Sheridan, Arkansas. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Hartenagle and husband, Don of Mineral Wells, TX.
