Curtis was a loving father, giving son and loyal brother and friend. Those who knew him would understand why the title "Good Samaritan" belonged to him. He loved fishing and raising animals of all kinds, his favorite being goats. He enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He got his love of growing sunflowers from his Grandmother Hester. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Ruth and Pat Hester. Curtis is survived by his children, Christy Diane Mora of Groesbeck and Ashley Dawn Lerma and husband, Rodrigo of Freestone; mother, Diane McCeig of Mexia; grandchildren, Hayley, Andrea, Leonardo Jr., Erika, Cody, Rodrigo, Francisco, Jovanni and Isabella; sisters, Lori McCeig Walker of Seagoville and Leisha McCeig Beamer of Marquez; brother, Ricky McCeig of Kansas; six nephews; five nieces; a very special aunt, Wanda Gantt; and a host of friends and other family. Pallbearers will be Michael McCeig, Rodrigo Lerma, Moises Lopez, Scott Ward, Brent Johnson and Rick Henderson. A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.
