Dana J. Danford, 60, of Mexia passed away March 3, 2012 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Friday, March 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Mexia, with Rev. Rusty McMahon of the Community Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Keechi Cemetery near Buffalo, Texas. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Dana was born December 11, 1951 in Mexia, Texas to S. R. and Viola Dailey. She was a teacher at Mexia High School and had been an employee of Mexia ISD since 1994. Dana loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was a very active member of the Community Christian Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jimmy Danford in October 2009. Dana is survived by her sons, Lance Danford and wife, Mary of Los Angeles, CA and Chase Danford of Larchmont, NY; grandchildren, Olyvia and Jake Danford of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Dixie Lynch and husband, James of Mexia; brother, Ron Dailey and wife, Sandy of Kennedale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
