Funeral services for Dewey T. (Sonny Creech) Wilson, 71, of Mexia will be Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel. Rev. Bill Wright and Rev. Steve Henderson will officiate with interment to follow in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home. Mr. Wilson was born on August 23, 1934 in Dallas, Texas and passed away in Mexia Hospital on February 6, 2006. He was a retired car salesman from M. & W. Auto Sales And chicken fighter, owning Mexia Game and Fowl Farm.. Served in US Army after Korean War from Jan. 1957 to Jan. 1959 and was an expert rifleman. Survivors are his wife, Hilda Martin Wilson, mother in law, Starlene Martin, two sons And daughters in laws, Tony and Yvonne Wilson and Randy and Carla Wilson all of Mexia, a daughter and son in law, Terry and Turk Padgett of Mexia; grandchildren, Jacob Padgett and wife, Bonnie, of Denton; Christi Padgett and Amber and Bradley Wilson of Mexia, Matthew Owen of Groesbeck, Christina Stewart and husband, Leonard of Mexia, Kody Daniel and wife,Amanda of Mexia; Kandis Daniel of Mexia and Jayson Webster of Thornton; great grandchildren: Geordan and Tobe Padgett of Denton, Kathrine Silar-Padgett of Mexia and Lacie, Josh and Brooke Stewart of Mexia, brother: Jerry (Little Creech) Wilson and wife, Judy of Robinson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvis Lyndon and Nellie Inez Creech Wilson, Daughter, Lisa Ann Wilson and sisters, Shirley Kendrick and Patsy Shockley.
