Donald Nix

Funeral services for Don Lee Nix, age 90, of Teague will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at Blair Stubbs chapel in Teague. Rev. Darrel Beggs will officiate. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at Westlawn Memorial Park, Borger, Texas. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Monday night at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home in Teague. He was born January 1, 1916 in Denton County, Texas and passed away in Mexia On September 29, 2006. He was a barber in Coast guard and barbered parttime While working for Phillips Petroleum in Plant Operations. Worked 26 years for Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Etta Nix of Teague: Daughter, Fraya Hammons and husband, Larry of Wellington, 2 sons, Mitchell Nix and wife, Geneva of Fritch and Ritchie Nix and wife, Shirley of League City, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Allie Mae Nix and his first Wife, Bonnie Lee Nix on November 30, 1993.
