Donna Quaca

Donna Dean Quaca, of Mexia, passed away June 11, 2020 at the age of 71.  Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2020 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Bill Wright, Sr. and Shelly Wright officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.  Kevin Morton, Spike Morton, Mike Morton, Jason Morton, Leven Barker, Billy Joe Foley, Jarrod Hardin and Jeff Lummus will serve as pallbearers.

Donna was born February 9, 1949 in Mexia, Texas to Nolan “Sonny” and Juanita Morton Henderson, she was also welcomed into the world by her grandmother, Bea Morton, who assisted with her birth.  A lifelong resident of Mexia, she graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1967.   Donna worked for the First National Bank (now Incommons Bank) for approximately 20 years and, later owned and operated a laundromat for many years.

Donna loved her family; they were her pride and joy.   She was proud of her son, Brian but even prouder of grandson, J. D., he was the light of her life.

Donna had an outgoing personality, always friendly and easy going, but also outspoken.   She tried to enjoy life to the fullest.  In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing softball, loved playing 42, going to the “Boats” with friends and swimming or just lounging around the lake or a pool; she just enjoyed being outdoors.   Donna was also a hard worker and never minded it, she liked to keep busy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nolan “Sonny” Henderson.

Donna is survived by her loving mother, Juanita Henderson of Mexia; son, Brian Quaca and wife, Junie of Mexia; grandson, Jasper Dean “J.D.” Quaca; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Donna’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Elana Campbell for her many years of  friendship and the special care given to her during her illness.
