Donna Wheeler

Donna Fay Wheeler, 75, passed away November 12, 2015 in Mexia. In honoring her wishes, there will be no public service. Donna was born May 5, 1940 in Taberville, Missouri to James and Dolly Groves Reece. She and her husband, Roger, owned and operated Wheeler's Hot Pit Barbeque for a number of years. Donna was a hard worker, she also maintained a home and raised six children in addition to operating a business. When she had some free time, she enjoyed going fishing, reading or working puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Wheeler; sister, Carlotta Byfield; brother, Jim Reece; and special friend of 30 years, Marshall Jones. Donna is survived by two daughters, Donna Davis and husband, Thomas of Uriah, AL and Katherine Young and husband, Chris of LaGrange, GA; four sons, Rodney Holley and wife, Isabell of Vanburen, AR, Butch Holley and wife, Cynthia of Uvalde, TX, Johnny Reece and wife, Sandra of Mexia, TX and James Holley and wife Demeta of Waynesville, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a special friend, Nell Kennedy of Encinal, TX.
