Funeral services Dorothy Foley Black, 86, of Athens, will be Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Rev. James Hooper and Rev. Rick Gray will officiate with interment to follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born to Dock and Lydia (Thomas) Foley in Jewett, Texas on November 25, 1921. She passed away July 3, 2008 in Athens. She lived in the Mexia area most of her life. Mrs. Black was a seamstress for B & B Cleaners, ABCO, Mexia Sportswear and a retired employee of the Mexia State School. She was an active and longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Williams and husband, Jeryl of Jewett, Linda Chrisner and husband, Eddie of Mexia and Paula Armstrong and husband, Randell of Athens; grandchildren: Cheryl Wogerer, Colletta Slott, Shannon Williams, Jerry Williams, Angie Chrisner, Brian Chrisner, Chase Chrisner, Malissa Windrow and Cameron Armstrong; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Curran of Longview and Novella McCoslin of Hewett. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Talmadge E. Black in 1992; brother, Curtis Foley; sisters, Irene Durant, Betty Lee Foley and Jimmie Sadler. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons - Jerry Williams, Chase Chrisner, Brian Chrisner, Cameron Armstrong, Alex Wogerer, Robert Slott and Ron Wogerer.
