Dorothy Duncan

Dorothy Jean Duncan, 75, of Cotton Gin passed away December 29, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 10AM, Monday, December 31, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Brother Scott Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Cotton Gin Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born November 6, 1937 in Mexia, Texas to Vick and Coreta Freeman Watson. She married Bobby Dean Duncan on July 28, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. Dorothy loved her family and devoted her life to caring for them. She was preceded in death by her father, Vick Watson; husband of 53 years, Bobby Duncan; sister, Joyce Hogan; and brother, Ronnie Watson. Dorothy is survived by her mother, Coreta Watson of Cotton Gin; daughter, Janet Frazier and husband, Jerry of Kemp; grandchildren, Heather and Jared Horton and Natalie Frazier; great-grandson, Dean Horton; brother, Lonnie Watson of Teague; sisters, Carolyn York of Teague, Brenda Browne of Teague and Glenda Duke of Whitney; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jared Horton, Nathan Davenport, Trent Daniel, Monte Calame, Jason Browne and Andy Morris.
