Doug Martin

John Douglas "Doug" Martin, 40, of Mexia passed away February 24, 2012 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 2PM, Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Mexia with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck. Visitation with the family will be 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Doug was born August 22, 1971 in Waco, Texas to Holloway and Louise Carr Martin. He grew up in Mexia, attended school in Mexia and received a degree from SMU School of Applied Technology. He was employed by Microsoft Corporation in Irving, Texas for six years as a Sr. Escalation Support Engineer. Doug was a member of First Baptist Church. Doug is survived by his parents, Holloway and Louise Martin of Mexia; and sister, Ellen Ford and husband, Barry of Lewisville; and twin niece, Emma and nephew, Jake. Pallbearers will be Alex Lewis, Boyd Benson, Joel Christiansen, Jason Fournerat, David Lewis, Jason Almand, Pete Sullivan, Phil Fields, Rodney Armstrong and Mike Smith.
