Elaine Sue Watson

Elaine Sue Watson went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 12, 2022 at the age of 39.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in the Northside Baptist Church with Pastor David West and Ms. Shelly Wright officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.  David West, Dartagnan West, Derek Vaughn, and Justin Ledford will serve as pallbearers.

Elaine was born June 6, 1983 in Mexia, Texas to Raymond Ray (II) and Joyce Ann (Marsh) Watson.  She was affectionately known by many as “Susie” or “Pooh”.  She dearly loved her family and was always willing to do any and everything possible for any of them.  Although Elaine had no children of her own, she was called upon to help raise a niece and a nephew and did it without any hesitation.  She loved them as if they were her own.   

Elaine’s love for the Lord was exemplified by the way she lived her life.  She was a gentle soul with a big heart and a willingness to help others.  She was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church.

Elaine enjoyed reading, especially, ghost adventures, and haunted houses.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Joyce Watson.

Elaine is survived by her sister, Beth West and husband, David of Mexia; brother, Raymond R. Watson, III of Mexia; nieces, Christian Ledford and husband, Justin and Caitlyn Watson; nephews, David West, Jr., Dartagnan West, and Adam Watson; great niece, Nova Ledford; and great nephew, Nolan Ledford.
