Funeral services for Eleanor Riddle, age 91 of Weatherford, Texas and formerly of Teague, Texas will be conducted September 24, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Teague, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Powers. Burial will be in the Mexia cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 9:30 to l0:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Teague. Mrs. Riddle died September 21, 2007 in Weatherford. She was born in Coolidge, Texas on March 22, 1916 to John Q. Adams and Nellie Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 67 years, Rex Riddle, And also a daughter, Barbara Riddle Jordan and sisters, Hazel Smith, Lou Mathis, And Faye Jean Suttleworth and a brother, Roger Adams. Mrs. Riddle lived in Teague for 50 years. She and her husband moved to Amarillo, Texas thirteen years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church In Teague for fifty years. She loved her church and Sunday School as she loved the Lord. She was a housewife, a loving wife, mother and loved her grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. She loved people and visiting with everyone. She was loved by so many people. Mrs. Riddle is survived by three children: Patsy Rieves and husband, Don of Clear Lake, Texas, Rex A. Riddle and wife Marsha of Hammond, Louisiana, and Katherine Curry and husband, Bobby of Weatherford, Texas. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, sister, John Nell Robinson of Pasadena, son-in-law, Brown Jordan of Longview and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Jeff Rieves, Steve Rieves, Jay Jordan, Bryan Jordan, Adam Curry and Daniel Rieves. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church in Teague, Texas.
