Elizabeth Ann Johnson passed away, at the age of 80, in Tomball, Texas on Thursday, September 3, 2015. Elizabeth was born on August 25, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jessie Raymond Allen and Oletha Annie Rich Allen. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Ginger Ann Mann; son, Ken Bess; three grandchildren, Bridgett Bess, Heather Gillette and Kris Mann; three great-grandchildren, Skylar Gillette, Tanner Cole and Trevor Mann; sisters, Connie Reed and Rayma Molock; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. So today, Elizabeth's family ask, please do not morn or weep, but instead celebrate her life. She lived a long fulfilling life and was able to do everything she ever wanted. On numerous occasions, Elizabeth would express her desire of having the opportunity to hold her husband, Jim Johnson's and daughter, Debbie Bess's hands and walk with them again. On September 3rd, "the sweetest lady ever" was able to fulfill her last wish of eternal rest. Therefore, by her request, please do not mourn her death, but celebrate the love she had not only for her husband and daughter, but the love she carried and showed to everyone. Thank you sincerely for showing us the true meaning love. You will always be loved and missed. WE LOVE YOU NANA!! Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Mexia with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery Pallbearers will be Kris Mann, Trevor Mann, Geoff Gillett, Jason Reed, Tanner Cole and Bryon Cole. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice, 107 E. Commerce, Mexia, TX 76667 Until We Meet Again - Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only I could have you back for just a little while, then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will too. The fact that you're no longer here will always cause me pain but you're forever in my heart until we meet again!!!
