Elizabeth Lucille Richards was born on May 17, 1961 in Houston, TX and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2024 in Katy, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward and Phyllis Ann Richards; grandparents; and her beloved pets, Pudge and his son, Buster. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Robert Richards and wife, Brooke and her grandchildren, Jewel Richards and Robert Richards, Jr. of Corsicana; her brother, Roy Richards and wife, Annette of Coolidge; sisters, Wendy Hayes and husband, Steve of Mexia; Bobbie Walker and husband, James of Waco; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Elizabeth always went by Lucy or Gigi to the ones who knew her personally. She was a firm believer in her Lord and believed in going to church faithfully. She loved her family and church deeply and always wanted to help everyone and nurture them in any way she could.
She loved cooking for her family and friends, her go-to was always fried chicken and potato salad. Elizabeth loved the holidays and being surrounded by her loved ones. She always felt she had to cook for an army, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
One of her favorite things to do was watch Hallmark movies, especially Christmas ones. Also, to clean the house and put her personal touch on things, she got the nickname “Hurricane Lucy” when she did detailed things to the house, and she loved that nickname. She loved listening to country western music and telling stories from the past.
Elizabeth was always known for having long conversations, especially when she knew you well, those moments will be cherished forever by those who had them with her. She always put others ahead of herself, that is just the Christian woman that she was. She would give you the shirt off her back to help you if she could.
Elizabeth will be loved and missed by so many, but she is now walking the streets of gold with her Father in Heaven and is living her eternal life with all those who went before her.
