Elizabeth Ann Maddox Robinson, 81, passed away January 10, 2015 in Keene, Texas following complications from heart surgery. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Pastor Jim Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Elizabeth was born May 15, 1933 in Mexia, Texas to Ruben Lee and Mary Maddox. After graduating from Mexia High School, she attended Sam Houston University in Huntsville. Elizabeth married Wilton D. Robinson in August 1953 in Mexia. She was a ministers' wife and mother who also worked as a legal secretary and secretary to several school principals. Her love for God, family and friends were evident in the way she lived her life. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting and took great pride in making special Christmas stockings for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, R. L. Maddox, Jr; and sisters, Carrie Lou Booker and Ester Earl Maddox. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Wilton Robinson, formerly of Conroe; son, Rick Robinson and wife, Linda of Covington, Beverly Robinson Toerner and husband, Mark of Burleson and Sharon Robinson of Burleson; grandchildren, Philip DuBose, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Fairbanks, AK, Brandi Robinson Rush and husband, Shaun of Burleson, Elisa DuBose Randell and husband, Chris of Burleson, Suzanne Robinson of Burleson, Dea Edney and husband, Noah of Dumfries, VA and Clint Surginer and fiancé, Diane Hoover of La Jolla, CA; and great-grandchildren, Riley Foreman, Annabelle Rush, Maggie Rush, Cesar DuBose, Andrea DuBose and Phillip DuBose III. Pallbearers will be Rick Robinson, David Mays, Tom Dooley, Mark Toerner, Christopher Randell and Shawn Rush.
