Elliott Wright, 94, of Mexia, passed away April 20, 2013 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. James Hooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Elliott was born February 27, 1919 to Lindsey Franklin and Elsie Clyde Neal Bradley in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a resident of the Limestone County area most of her life. Elliott married Millard Wright on December 17, 1938 in Mexia. She retired from the Social Services Department of the Mexia State School after 30 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished her family. Elliott was a strong, gracious, witty and fun loving lady. She was always ready for a good time. She was a faithful servant of God. Elliott was member of the Calvary Baptist Church and also attended Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Millard Wright; three brothers; and four sisters. Elliott is survived by two sons, Preston Wright and wife, Lynda of Nashville and Tommy Wright of Mexia; three grandchildren, Tera Simmons, Garron Wright and Shannon Wright; a number of great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Mark Wright, Brad Adkins, Louie Neal Adkins, Mike Lewis, Bob Bishop and Darrell Moore.
