Mr. Ernest Bradford York, Jr., 75, of Teague passed away, Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at his residence in Teague. Mr. York was born Sept. 2, 1935 in Grange Hall Community to Ernest Bradford and Beaulah Cate York. A lifelong resident of Freestone County, Bradford graduated from Fairfield High School in 1954. He later went to work for the Railroad and retired after 42 years as a conductor with Burlington Northern. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Teague. Bradford was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melanie York Lane. He is survived by his wife, Elouise (Pookie) York of Teague, Son, Billy Don York and wife Debra Jo of Mexia, Daughter, Celisa York Paris of Teague, Grandchildren, Shanna Lane, Crista Robertson, Aaron Lane, Kyle Lane, Haley Lane, Erica York Beldin, Ken David York, Joe Kyle York, Andrea Paris, Ashley Paris and Jared Paris, Great Grandchildren, Aden Lane, Ashton Carruth, Austen Robertson, Avery, Ava and Aven Lane, Christiana Lane, Cace Carruth, Kestler Sexton, Keean Paris, Bryston, Cariden and Kovan Ferguson. He is further survived by his sisters, Wanda Ruth Sanders of Franklin, Gwen Steen of Teague and Nelma Jo Webb of Waco. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Teague. Reverend Daryl Beggs will officiate.
