Funeral services for Finis Lee (Tubby) Morton, 73 of Mexia were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2005 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel. Rev. Steve Henderson officiated With interment following in Mexia Cemetery. Mr. Morton was born September 1, 1931 in Limestone County where he lived most of His life. He was a salesman for M & W Auto Sales in Mexia , served in the army in Korea, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife: Charlotte Darlene Morton of Mexia; two sons: Mike Morton And Spike Morton of Mexia; 4 grandchildren: Clayton, Kara, Sarah and Nashlee Morton, two brothers: Grady (Bo) Morton and John (Buckwheat) Morton and a sister Juanita Henderson, all of Mexia. Pallbearers were: Kevin Morton, Jerry Allen, James Bates, Joe Garcia, Jody Kennedy, And Brian Quaca. Honorary Pallbearers were: Zeke Rhodes, Ray Rhodes, Jason Morton, Doug DeBerry, Clint Morton, Monte Huggins, Louie Masters and Brad Connaly.
