Frances Elizabeth Fowler, 85, of Mexia passed away May 28, 2013 in Mexia. Services will be 10:30AM, Friday, May 31, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment will be in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Frances was born June 14, 1927 in Mexia, Texas to Alton B. Kerzee, Sr. and Addie Bond Kerzee. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1944. Frances married John Fowler on February 21, 1948 in Limestone County. She and John owned and operated the Majestic Cleaners in Mexia for over 30 years, while also raising their two children. After retirement, she worked at Casual Fashions and the Christian Life Center for many years. She had a friendly, outgoing personality and loved to be around people. She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church. She was also very active in the community. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister; her life was her family, church and work. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brothers, Alton B. Kerzee, Jr., Jerry Kerzee and Wilmer Kerzee. Frances is survived by her daughter, Vicki Renfrow and husband, Rocky of Georgetown; son, Ricky Fowler and wife, Rachael of Groesbeck; grandchildren, Kristi Wittman and husband, Jerrod of Georgetown, Kerri Pearson and husband, Josh of Belton, Christopher Fowler of Orlando, FL and Chance Fowler of Groesbeck; two step-grandchildren, Chris Barber and David Hays; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Prather and husband, Horace and Martha Beene and husband, Elmer all of Mexia; brothers, Rollin Kerzee of Lima, Ohio, Richard Kerzee and wife, Beulah of Mexia and Maurice Kerzee and wife, Pam of Bay City; a number of nieces and nephews.
