Frank Edward Lemanski passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Frank was born December 6, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas to Frank A. and Florine Ohendalski Lemanski. He attended school in Mexia and Bellmead graduating from LaVega in 1955. He entered the Navy in 1956 and toured the South Pacific on the USS Shangri-La. After serving in the Navy, he married Betty Green on August 22, 1959 in Coolidge, Texas. Frank was a member of Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church. He served on the LaVega School Board. Frank worked at Bird Kultgen Ford then M&M Mars where he retired in 1995. Shortly after retiring, he began to have serious health issues that resulted in a heart transplant in December 1995. During the times he felt well, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sister Wanda Preston; sister-in-law Linda Lemanski; brothers and sisters-in-law Dewey and Bobbie Green and Alvin and Doris Green. Frank is survived by Betty, wife of 53 years; daughters, LuAnn and husband Danny Pickens of Axtell, Lisa and husband Mark Abernathy of Weatherford; grandchildren, Kristin and husband Johnnie Badgett, Mandi and husband Weston Canuteson, Kayla and Dakota Abernathy; great-grandchildren Luke and Jake Badgett, Caden Rodgers and Charlotte Canuteson; brothers and sisters Barbara and Bill Yant of Fort Worth, Benny and Peggy Lemanski of Georgetown, David and Billie Lemanski of Holland, Tommy and Bliss Lemanski of Lacy Lakeview and Mary and George Isham of Bellmead; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on July 13 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm at Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church in Bellmead with services to follow at 3:30 pm with Rev. Gerald McKelroy officiating. Burial to follow at Coolidge Cemetery, Coolidge, Texas. Pallbearers are Dakota Abernathy, Johnnie Badgett, Weston Canuteson, Galen Childress, Roger Green and Richard Green. Honorary pallbearers are Don Swaner, Larry Tucker and Jerry Carpenter. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Bond Browder and his nurse, Missy Alexander of Waco, Dr. John Dieck and Nancy Gardner RN and the staff of Seton Heart Specialty Care and Transplant Center - Austin, Texas for their dedication to Franks care.
