Gladys Parker

Gladys Reynolds Parker passed away January 24, 2018 in Mexia at the age of 100. A celebration of Gladys' life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Point Enterprise Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Hayworth officiating. Gladys was born December 24, 1917 in Satin, Texas to Ira Jasper and Hattie Wood Reynolds. She was blessed with only one daughter, but she enjoyed sharing her love with all children. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her family was the light of her life. Gladys was happier being outdoors than indoors. She loved hunting, fishing and camping, fortunately she was able to participate in these events until she was in her 80's. She was also a people person, very friendly, never met a stranger and could easily carry on a conversation with anyone. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Gladys is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Hamilton and husband, Wally of Mexia; grandson, Todd Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Justin Hamilton and Blake Hamilton; and two great-great-grandchildren, Baxton Hamilton and Brittyn Hamilton.
