Glen Rushing

Glen Dale Rushing, 64, of Groesbeck passed away on December 10, 2011 in Thornton, Texas. Funeral services will be 10AM, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. Interment will follow in the Thornton Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Glen was born March 31, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Elmer Edward and Willie Faye Carroll Rushing. He had lived in Groesbeck for 25 years. He worked in the construction business for 30 years. Glen served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt as often as possible. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marshall Rushing; and sister, Mary Faye Miles. Glen is survived by two sisters, Rita K. Drennan of Thornton and Ronda Dotson of Gun Barrel City; and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Lee Drennan, John Pat Murphy, Carl Carroll, David Carroll, Vernon Miles, Steven King and Gene Dotson. After the service, family and friends are invited to meet in the activity center at Ft. Parker State Park.
