Glenn Ray Burke, 91, of Frosa passed away on December 12, 2012 in Mexia, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Fred Sain officiating and Eulogy given by Mr. Walter Ray Renfro. Interment will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Glenn was born May 9, 1921 in Frosa, Texas to Horace W. and Della Mae Holland Burke. He was a Rancher and a "True Cowboy" who loved his land and cattle. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Glenn, also, enjoyed playing pranks on people. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Elvin, Troy, Delmar and Clifton Burke. Glenn is survived by his wife, Frances Findley Burke; son, Kenneth Burke and wife, Susie of Frosa; daughter, Charlene Pullin and husband, James of Frosa; granddaughter, Naice Steines and husband, Shaun of Killeen; great-grandchildren, Sumer Elmore of Groesbeck, Carleigh Samford of Mexia and soon-to-be born, Addison Jade Steines; nieces, Elaine, Janet, Jennifer and Judy; and a number of cousins. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ellis, Aubrey Struck, Gary Findley, Marty McDaniel, Jerry Ward and James Pullin. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Dziedzic, William R. Haynes, Fred Robert Schlemmer, J.I. Muhl and Joe Naida. Memorials may be made to the Prairie Hill Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Groesbeck.
