Gloria Ann Kight

Gloria Ann Kight, 86, passed away August 21, 2022 in Mexia, Texas.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Wright, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.  Josh Ingram, James Ingram, Elijah Garza, Matthew Kirk, and Jacob Rodriguez will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m

Gloria was born August 4, 1936 in Pelahatchie, Mississippi to Curtis Monroe and Vera (Barnes) Kight.  Throughout her working years, she worked for various companies as a bookkeeper.

Gloria’s life revolved around her family.  She was a hard worker and was willing to work wherever necessary to support her children, as she was their only provider for many years during her life.  Gloria loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and their needs always came first.  She was willing to sacrifice any and everything for them. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed dancing and decorating.  She had an outgoing personality, never met a stranger, and was strong willed. 

Gloria will be dearly missed by her family here on earth, but they find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven as she is reunited with her parents, son, Clyde Kirk, and daughter, Gloria Kirk.

Gloria is survived by her loving daughter, Vicky Bardin; son, David Kirk grandchildren, Kelly Ingram and husband, Josh, Katrina Chapman, Matthew Kirk and wife, Danielle, Shelby Santos and Jacob Rodriguez, Jonathan Kirk, and Chyenne Kirk; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Josephine Scott; 2 nieces and one nephew.
