Gloria Lynn Leal, of Mexia, entered her heavenly home on March 27, 2024 at the age of 66. She was born March 11, 1958 in Johnson City, Texas to Oscar and Allie Laverne (Wrye) Boultinghouse. She lived in the Mexia area for several years. Prior to Gloria being a Training Supervisor for Centex ARC, she also worked in Home Health.
Gloria’s love for her family and the Lord was evident in her life. She loved her husband, children, and many others but nothing could compare to the love she had for her grandchildren; she cherished them and certainly enjoyed spoiling them. Gloria had an outgoing personality, big heart, and enjoyed caring for others. She was a devoted Christian and an active member of the Northside Baptist Church where she was always willing to help with any and everything.
Gloria enjoyed doing all types of crafts, dancing, and cooking. She also enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower garden, watching butterflies, and admiring the beautiful colors of a campfire while camping. However, no matter what she was doing, she will be remembered as always listening to her favorite music by Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Young and Delberta Earp; and brother, Keith Boultinghouse.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Domingo Leal; children, Mark Young and wife, Danielle-Marie, Derek Vaughn, Wyniece Young, Diamond Leal (3 children), Chelsea Contreras and husband, Pepe, Amber Proulx and husband, Haven, Brianna Leal, Zachary Leal, and Michael Leal; grandchildren, Lindsey Young, Oscar Young, Joseph Dante Young, Landon Gabrielle, Miles Gabrielle, Noah Gabrielle, Darren Gabrielle, Kyanne Proulx, Azriel Proulx, Hazel Proulx, Izzabella Contreras, Jasmine Contreras, Casey Contreras, Elijah Contreras, and Moriah Contreras; great grandchild, Hazel Love Young; sisters, Kim Habit Bingham, Linda Rabun, and Cordella Wagner; brother, Ricky Boultinghouse; nieces, Cindy Williamson and husband, Ron, Amanda Shoff and husband, Chris, and Kathy West; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor David West officiating.
