Harold Nussbaum

Harold Julius Nussbaum, 86, of Mexia, passed away March 19, 2016. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Danny Niedecken officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Harold was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 12, 1930 to Julius Harold and Erna Rang Nussbaum. He was a lifelong resident of Mexia and graduate of Mexia High School. He received his Bachelor Degree from Texas A & M. Harold was a well-known, respected banker in Mexia for 50 plus years, prior to retirement. Harold had an outgoing and humorous personality, he never met a stranger. His enjoyed visiting with family and friends whether it was at the coffee shop, home or hospital. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, J. Harold Nussbaum, II. Harold is survived by his daughter, Kristen Beard and husband, Bobby; son, Karl Nussbaum and wife, Penny; grandchildren, Kendall and Kelsey Nussbaum and Daryl and Craig Beard; great-grandchildren, Kegon Kobs-Beard and Kaden Beard; and sister, Jo Anne Nussbaum Sikes and husband, L. N. "Sonny" Sikes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Canton, Mexia, TX 76667 or Lara's House, P. O. Box 190, Mexia, TX 76667.
