Helen Payne Boykin, loving and loved, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully, November 2, 2013 to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on September 3, 1930 in Mexia, Texas to Robert Earl Payne and Sarah Oma Payne. She is survived by her sons, Dennis and wife, Cynthia, their daughters, Courtney and Brittany, Tony and wife, Cindy, their sons, Sam and Scott; her brother, Bob Payne; and nieces, Carol Evans and Linda Liles. Helen grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School and attended Midwestern State University and secretarial school. She had a varied career working at radio and television stations and as a Legal and Executive Secretary. After retiring, she fulfilled a longtime dream of owning her own store selling antiques and collectibles. Helen was the life of family gatherings and enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013 in the Mexia Cemetery with Brother Dan Carroll officiating.
