Ima Golden

Miss Ima Ruth Golden, 81 of Mexia passed away Monday January 15, 2007 in Mexia. She was born May 13, 1925 in Mexia to J.J. and Minnie Adamson Golden. Miss Golden was a longtime member of the Point Enterprise Baptist Church. She retired from the kitchen department of Mexia State School after many years of service. Miss Golden was preceded in death by her parents and by six of her siblings. She is survived by her sister, Miss Mildred Golden of Mexia and her brother, Herbert Golden of Texarkana, Texas. She is further survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at the Point Enterprise Baptist Church. The Reverend Bruce Rudd and Jay Gatlin will officiate with interment following in the Point Enterprise cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 from noon until 5 p.m. Pallbearers will by John Mangum, Randy Wilson, Bill Tiffin, Bradley Wilson, Paul Stringer and Gary Henderson.
