Jacob Allen Padgett, of Mexia, passed away April 25, 2017 in Waco, Texas at the age of 37. Funeral services will be 3 PM, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery with Clint Fisher, Jason Howell, Troy Darby, Juan Franco, Geoff Powers, David Langley, Ricky Blackmon and T. J. Hammond serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Jacob was born in Mexia, Texas on October 21, 1979 to Tracy Van "Turk" and Terry Lynn Wilson Padgett. He graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 1998. He was an Estimator for General Dynamics. Jacob enjoyed mudding on a buggy or a four wheeler, fishing, hunting, working on things and welding. He was a country boy at heart. He loved spending time with his family; he was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sonny Wilson; paternal grandfather, William Van Padgett; and aunt, Lisa Ann Wilson. Jacob is survived by his children, Geordan, Tobe, Radley and Timothy Padgett; parents, Tracy "Turk" and Terry Padgett; sister, Christi Silar and husband, Lance of Fairfield, maternal grandmother, Hilda Wilson; paternal grandmother, Madalene Morgan and husband, Wallace; uncles and aunts, Tony Wilson and wife, Carolyn of Mexia, Randy Wilson and wife, Carla of Mexia and Randy Padgett and wife, Leah of Cotton Gin; nephew, Lane Silar; nieces, Kate and KyLee Silar; two special little girls, Lexi and Adri Moore of Fairfield; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
