James German

Mr. James Stephens German, 82,of Thornton passed away March 21, 2010 in Mexia. He was born June 18, 1927 in Many, Louisiana to John D. and Elizabeth Lorena German. Steve graduated from Many High School in 1945. He served his country during World War II in the Navy. He spent 45 years in the motion picture industry as a movie projectionist. He married Neennah Marie Barnhart on Feb. 17, 1962 in Houston. Steve was a member of the Methodist church and served his fellow man through the Lions Club. He was always happy to greet his friends and share a joke. Mr. German was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Neennah Marie, son, Duane German and wife Sasha and by two lovely grandchildren, Jack Thomas German and Anya Belen German. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law Barbara German of Houston. Memorial services will be 1 PM Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Kosse United Methodist Church with Rev. John Montgomery officiating Memorials may be made to the Lions Camp at P.O.
