James Hitt

James Earl Hitt, 93, of Garland, Texas was born June 12, 1920 in Mexia, Texas to Earl Hitt and Hattie (Armstead) Hitt and passed away June 8, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. James is survived by children, James Edwin Hitt and Sandra Marie Watts; grandchildren, Darla Herman and husband, Mark, Jane Shaw and husband, Barron, Shelley McConnico and husband, David, Michael Watts and wife, Stacy, Jessica Mather and husband, Jaime; great-grandchildren, Jacob Herman, Hazel Herman, Grace Ann Shaw, Abigail Shaw, Isabella Mather, Lennon Mather, Austin McConnico, Ashley McConnico, Parker Watts, Gavin Watts, Gracy Watts and Ruby Watts. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Ruby Nell Hitt. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Williams Funeral Directors in Garland. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia with Rev. Danny Niedecken officiating. A Masonic graveside service will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.
