Funeral services were held May 17th for James Orman Smith who passed away in the V.A. Hospital in Temple on May 15th at 8 am, losing his battle with cancer. James was born in Dew Texas July 21st 1940. He served the the US army and was in the air conditioning business until he became disabled. he is survived by two sisters Pattie Jordan and Billie Williams of Dew. Also, 2 step sons Charles Norris of Palestine and James L. Craft of Palestine. Also, nieces Glenda Starvaggi of Phoenix Arizona, Brenda Sanger of McKinney, and Elizabeth Caldwell of Bay town Texas. Also, Nephews Charles Jordan of Dew Texas and Jerry Williams of Cypress Texas. Also, very special friends Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Davis of Fairfield, and a special niece Dallis Poller of Dew Texas. Also, 5 step grandchildren of Palestine Texas. Proceeded in Death by mother Eva Mae Smith and Father Roy Smith. Brother Roy L. Smith and Step son J.R. Croft. Pastor Walter Pickens held the services, and Blair Stubbs of Mexia was in charge of services.
